The birdseye is a musical symbol inviting a note or chord to be indefinitely sustained through time. The symbol appears like a crescent cupping an orb. I’ve long held this symbol as a presence in my own heart, nudging me to curiously reflect on which relationships and practices sustain my life as well as which are diminishing or limiting my experience of the world and of myself. The symbol asks us to consider what we are holding in our lives, and what is holding us, so that we may begin to cultivate a more preferred relationship to aspects of our experience and identity where thriving, wholeness, and wellbeing are found.
